Earth Science:  Constructive & Destructive Forces

This is it!  This is the opening activity for our EARTH SCIENCE unit!!  Watch the video on Georgia's Landforms!!

Journal Writing Activity:  Now that you've watched the video, choose one of the landforms to write about.  In your journal, write at least one paragraph explaining how you think your chosen landform was formed and how long ago it was formed.

S5E1: Students will identify surface features of the Earth caused by constructive and destructive forces.

Big Idea:    Earth has different landforms, or features.  Landforms are made by constructive and destructive forces within and upon the Earth.  Scientists use technology to alter and protect landforms.

  Essential Questions:

 1. What are some examples landforms?

  2. What causes changes to landforms?

  3. How do movements of the crust change landforms?

  4. How do humans change landforms?
